Mission Statement

Finis Cowan of the Texas Debt Defense has more than 30 years of litigation experience. Finis received his Juris Doctorate in 1985 from Baylor University before attending the University of Houston School of Law where he received a Letters of Law Master in Accounting and Tax Law. Mr. Cowan’s parents taught him the value of hard work, integrity and helping others. He understands the virtues of responsibility and the commitment to work long hours to zealously advocate his clients’ position. He believes the boldest accomplishments occur when one has the diligence to persevere. He takes the time to learn his clients’ objectives and applies the law to them. He believes that things are not to be done right once in a while, rather, they should be done right all the time. Mr. Cowan ensures that his firm will deliver its legal services at the highest level and in the most cost-effective manner with respect to each client’s particular situation.
